Study on the Curvature of the Upper Anterior Teeth Arrangements of Koreans

Abstract
The dental arch of the upper anterior teeth of both sides was measured with 106 plaster models of natural group. The curvature of the circle formed by the center of each incisor and cusp of the cuspid was also measured. The correlation of these data with the degrees of inclination was them evaluated.
The following were the results;
1) The values of the curve rate in dental arch of the anterior teeth were; 0.46 in the right and 0.39 in the left in case of K values and 0.40 in the right and 0.38 in the left in case of K¢¥values. 9) A relatively significant correlation was found in the curve rates of the both sides.
3) A negative correlation was noted in the curve rate and lateral incisor or canine in case of the torsional degrees.
4) A negative correlation was noted in the curve rates and lateral incisor in case of the mesio-distal inclination, namely, the crown of lateral incisor tended to mesial inclination as the curve rates increased.
5) No significant correlation was noted in the curve rates and labio-lingual inclination.
